Stupendous American singer and guitarist Steve Lacy teams up with American singer and songwriter SZA on a new record titled “Is It Cool?” The collaboration continues their strong creative chemistry, blending alternative R&B with soft indie-pop influences.
The track also serves as part of Steve Lacy’s upcoming project “Oh Yeah?”, where he explores a more experimental and emotional direction in his sound. The production is mellow and layered, built on smooth guitar textures, subtle percussion, and atmospheric elements that give the song a dreamy, reflective feel.
“Is It Cool?” focuses on themes of love confusion, emotional insecurity, and self-sabotage in relationships. Both Steve Lacy and SZA deliver conversational vocals that feel personal and vulnerable, making the record deeply relatable and emotionally rich.
