Grammy-winning producer and DJ Dahi has officially announced his debut solo album, Black Boy (Alternative), launching the rollout with the evocative new single “Running” on July 10, 2026.
Released through ALTER Music, the track reunites the veteran producer with multitalented artist Childish Gambino, marking an exciting new chapter for the duo’s long-standing studio chemistry.
Childish Gambino handles the track’s lead vocals solo, delivering a vulnerable performance that explores themes of abandonment and deep emotional fatigue.
The production pairs detailed, subtle guitar work with a dreamy, slow-building atmosphere that expands into a rich arrangement as the song progresses.
The single serves as the fourth track on Dahi’s upcoming 11-song project, which is scheduled to drop in full on August 28.
Grounded in his personal upbringing, the broader record will feature a massive list of heavy-hitting collaborators, including Kendrick Lamar, Vince Staples, Moses Sumney, and Ravyn Lenae. Music fans can stream “Running” now on all major digital streaming services.
