Teddy Swims channels profound personal heartbreak into his vulnerable single “Break Up in Reverse,” released on July 10, 2026.
Arriving via Warner Records, the track serves as an emotionally raw window into the Atlanta artist’s upcoming studio album. The poignant narrative directly details the painful dissolution of his relationship with his former partner.
The vocal powerhouse commands the microphone solo, featuring no guest appearances, though he heavily reunited behind the scenes with trusted co-writers and producers including Julian Bunetta, John Ryan, and Mikky Ekko.
Musically, Swims anchors the production around a unique conceptual premise inspired by the classic Nas track “Rewind,” mapping out a relationship backwards from a devastating conclusion to its blissful beginning.
The track adds another powerful chapter to his discography following his spring single, “Mr. Know It All”. Accompanying the release is a creative, conceptually driven music video directed by Lewis Cater. Fans can find the heart-wrenching single streaming across all prominent global music platforms now.
